We can’t believe that it’s already April and just next month we will be together at Impact 360 at Staff Training Week! With the summer approaching, we have some super important information to make sure you are prepared for the summer ahead. Be sure to read through this entire newsletter and let your Camp Director or the Staff Team know if you have any questions!

Connect Worldwide Camps
Early last month, our first ever Connect Worldwide Camps team partnered with a church in Costa Rica to help them meet new people in their community! This team executed camp in 2 different schools in Atenas, Costa Rica and shared the gospel with over 200 campers! Check out our instagram to get a look at all of the action!

Summer 2023: NEED TO KNOW!
SKILL + TRIBE PLACEMENTS
It’s finally here! You ~finally~ know what you will be teaching this summer! This week, you will receive an email from your Camp Director giving an overview of your skill, your tribe, and more. The great news is that ALL material is already LIVE on the Staff Hub. Here are the steps to log into the staff hub:
1- Go to www.connectcamps.com/staffhub
2- Enter the password “lvd23”
3- Go to the top bar and select “Camp Resources”
4- Navigate to Skill Resources or Pack Track Resources
The password for skills is [yourskill]23- ex: “soccer23”
The password for Pack Track Material is “[tribe]23” – ex: kava 23
Orange + Yellow teams: You are required to come to Staff Training already knowing the Pack Track Material for your assigned Tribe, as well as your Skill
Red, Green, Blue teams:
- Skill leaders: You are required to learn the material of your assigned skill as well as the Pack Track material of your assigned tribe
- Pack Leaders: You are required to learn the material for the Kava, Sulu, and Taka Pack Tracks

PACKING
There are 2 steps to packing:
1- You are REQUIRED to pack in a trunk! They tend to sell out around May, so order yours ASAP. It is linked HERE
2- Everything you NEED to pack is on this list! We also have included some packing tips and tricks. Be sure to leverage the expertise of your Leadership Team if you have any specific questions:

TRAVEL
Please fill out THIS TRAVEL SURVEY ASAP. This allows us to secure travel for you to Staff Training Week. If you live more than 250 miles from Pine Mountain, Ga, we will book a flight for you to arrive in Atlanta on May 26. If you live less than 250 miles from Pine Mountain Ga, you will need to be dropped off between 1-2:30pm
Flyers: You will receive an email from Uniglobe with flight information. We will have a shuttle for you that will take you from the airport to Impact 360.
Drivers: You will need to be dropped off at Staff Training week between 1-2:30pm on Friday, May 26. We will reimburse you for your gas mileage upon arrival at Staff Training Week.
Tax Forms/Paperwork
You were sent an email from DocuSign requiring you to complete tax forms. Please complete these BEFORE April 29. Failure to do so may delay your first paycheck. Let us know if you have any questions about this. Below is a complete list of EVERYTHING you need to complete BEFORE April 29:
- Sign Contract
- Onboarding Paperwork (Medical Forms, Physical, Direct Deposit)
- Staff Info Form
- Travel Survey
- Ministry Safe
- Background Check
- Submit headshots to [email protected]
- Tax Forms

SOCIAL WELLNESS
As you heard in our April Newsletter Video, Connect Camps cares deeply for you, our Summer Staff, throughout the whole summer. We call this the “Staff Wellness Plan,” as we care for the 4 pillars of your wellness:

- Mental Wellness
- Social Wellness
- Physical Wellness
- Spiritual Wellness
One way to ensure that we are able to care for your Spiritual Wellness is happening THIS month through the Adopt a Summer Staffer Program!. Throughout Staff Training week and the rest of the summer, the Staff Team and your camp director will work together to ensure that you have time alone to spend with God- at Connect Camps we call this “Enjoying Abba’s Presence.” You will have this two times per day in the morning and in the afternoon. But that’s not all! Check out all of the ways that we care for your Spiritual Wellness!

Additionally, we encourage you to have a MENTOR that encourages you throughout the summer. You can give us their information on the Staff Into Form linked above!
We are only 50 DAYS away from Staff Training week and we cannot wait to see you in person. This next month and a half of preparation is crucial to your success this summer, so please let us know if there is anything we can do for you or any ways that we can help.
